READING, Pa. – Bethune-Cookman Bowling wrapped up the three-day Kutztown Invitational on Sunday at Hiester Lanes in Reading, Pennsylvania. The event was hosted by Kutztown University.

Sunday's portion of the event featured a bracket tournament, with seeding based off Friday and Saturday's total pin count. Bethune-Cookman took the No. 19 seed into Sunday's bracket, with all matches played in the traditional best-of-five Baker match format.

The Wildcats began the day by jumping out to a 2-0 lead over fellow Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) opponent Norfolk State, but eventually fell in a sudden death bowl-off, 1-0 – in a final 4.5-3.5 decision against the Spartans.

B-CU quickly regrouped to take down host Kutztown for the second time in as many days, with the Cats defeating KU in Saturday's traditional format.

The Cats would finish the tournament with a 19th place showing after turning in a 4-2 victory over the MEAC"s Howard in the finale for the Maroon and Gold.

B-CU was sparked on the weekend in traditional play by senior
Krysta Coleman as she picked up two (2) 200-plus performances in Saturday's games. She would finish with a game-high 235 on the weekend.
Nia McConico produced a 213 game on Saturday, while teammate and senior
Ivory Miles had the second-high single-game performance by registering a 226 in the third game on Saturday.

The Maroon and Gold continue the season next weekend at the FAMU Invitational in Pensacola, Florida. The three-day event begins Friday, January 27.

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Championship is scheduled for March 23-25, 2017 at AMF Bowling Lanes in Chesapeake, Virginia.
