CORAL GABLES, FLA. – Michael Tiller (Tampa, Fla.) continues his streak of gold by being the lone winner of the BCU Track and Field team by leaping a distance of 15.98m in the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational in Coral Gables, Fla. on the campus of University of Miami. Michael Tiller opened up his outdoor season at this meet following his 14th place finish at NCAA Indoor Championships, where he garnered 2nd Team All-American Status.  His jump at the Miami Collegiate Invitational is currently #1 in the Nation in the Triple jump of all NCAA, #1 in the East Region, and #1 in the MEAC. 

Tiller also competed in the javelin throw placing sixth (43.19) and also competing in the high jump with a measure of 1.90m.
 
The Wildcats overall finished with 7 top-5 performances.  
JaQuaveon Beachem(Norfolk, Va.) placed third in the triple jump (14.02m), Beachem also competed in the long jump placing sixth (6.74m).  

Kelton Williams finished fourth in the high jump with a measure of 2.00m

Daniel Kiptoo finished the 3000m run with a time of 8:49.65 finishing fourth.

Deja Davis and Catoria Sirmon both had solid performances leading the women in the 3000 meter run as well as the shot put. 

Catoria Sirmons has a new outdoor PR in Outdoor Shot Put, as she equaled her Indoor distance in the Shot Put.  Her performance currently ranks #31 in the Nation, #21 in the East Region and #1 in the MEAC.Sirmon, 2017 MEAC Indoor Champion won the bronze in the shot put throwing a distance of 15.22m.

Davis while improving her time from last week's meet finished sixth with a time of 10:13.86

The Wildcats will split next weekend with some athletes competing in the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla. with the rest competing in the Embry Ridde Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla. 

Currently the B-CU Wildcats have Jonathan Moore (800m), Michael Tiller (Triple Jump), Catoria Sirmons (Shot Put), Ranked in the top 50 in the Nation in their events.  The B-CU Wildcats also have these individuals plus Kareem Fair (100m), Henrick Bailey (100m), Christopher Jackson (800m), and Kelton Williams (High Jump) ranked in the top 50 in the East Region.
