DURHAM, N.C. – Bethune-Cookman clinched a berth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament with a 6-0 victory over North Carolina Central Saturday morning.
The Lady Wildcats (8-9 overall, 3-1 MEAC) won their third straight match and posted their first clean slate of the season.
Junior Matea Rokl remained unbeaten (4-0 in both singles and doubles) while senior
Mina Matsuba, junior
Alejandra Vidal and freshman Phatismo Ruele also recorded both a singles and doubles triumph. Ruele's 6-0, 6-0 decision marked her first collegiate victory.
Bethune-Cookman will meet Florida A&M in its regular season finale next Saturday to determine the number two seed from the Southern Division for the MEAC tournament April 20-22 in Norfolk, Va.
