DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman's six-game home stand
continues with doubleheaders against Providence Wednesday and Boston College
Thursday at Sunnyland Park.
The Wildcats (3-13) split a doubleheader with Niagara in
their home opener Sunday, winning the opener 10-2 before falling 5-2 in the
nightcap.
First pitch is 1 p.m. both days. Admission is free.
B-CU UPDATE: Simone
Ceasar and Calesha Shelley are both tied for second in the Mid-Eastern Athletic
Conference with 15 hits. Shelley extended her hitting streak to nine games in
Sunday's doubleheader with Niagara.
ABOUT PROVIDENCE: The Friars (3-7) compiled a 1-4 record
over the weekend at the USF Under Armour Invitational. Stephanie Kiesel and
Sarah Kitterman are each hitting .379, with Kitterman going yard twice this
season. B-CU swept a doubleheader from Providence last season.
ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE: The Eagles (4-7) have to Michigan,
Notre Dame, Syracuse and Oregon during their Florida swing. Megan Cooley has a
.438 average, while Tory Speer has hit three home runs.
