DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats football team will begin a four-game road stretch at FIU on Sept. 14, with a kickoff time set for 6 p.m., announced Wednesday afternoon by Conference USA from their home office in Irving, Texas.
The highly-anticipated contest against FIU will take place at FIU Stadium in Miami, serving as the first meeting between the two schools since the Panthers moved to the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The last meeting between the two teams resulted in a 24-14 win for the Cats in Miami back on Sept. 20, 2003. That same season, Bethune-Cookman advanced to the second of back-to-back NCAA FCS Playoff appearances (formerly known as I-AA).
