JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman dropped two games at the Jacksonville University tournament Saturday.

The Wildcats (1-11) lost 3-2 to Mount St. Mary's and 12-2 to Southern Illinois.

Against Mount St. Mary's B-CU took a 1-0 lead in the first when Kelsey Rodney reached on error and scored on Sabrina Anguiano's single.

Rodney gave B-CU a 2-0 lead in the fifth when she doubled home Calesha Shelley.

Mount St. Mary's took the lead with two runs in the sixth.

Rodney and Shamaria Engram each had two hits for the Wildcats.

Against Southern Illinois,  B-CU took a 2-1 first inning when Shelley scored on Bailey Connor's single and Anguiano brought home Kaitlin Alamprese. The Wildcats had 11 hits, but could not score again.

Anguiano had three hits for B-CU, Shelley and Connor two each.
