DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman host the North Carolina Central Eagles to Sunnyland Park for a three-game Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) softball series beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 9, at 1 p.m. The series concludes Sunday, April 10, at Noon.
Admission is free, and all three games will be carried live on the CatEye Network through BCUathletics.com. The game will also feature live stats on BCUathletics.com, as well as Twitter updates @BCUSoftball.

Bethune-Cookman-North Carolina Central Series History
• Bethune-Cookman took all three games against North Carolina Central a season ago in Durham, North Carolina.
• In the series, the Cats allowed just two runs against, while scoring a total of 21 runs altogether in three games.
• Since NCCU joined the league during the 2010-11 season, Bethune-Cookman is a perfect 14-0 against the Eagles in all competitions.
Noting the Wildcats
• Sabrina Anguiano was named this week's MEAC Pitcher of the Week, while Annie Bakenhaus was named Rookie of the Week.
• The Cats come into the game having dropped both games of a doubleheader at 23rd-ranked USF on Wednesday, but swept a three-game series at North Carolina A&T last weekend in Greensboro, North Carolina.
• This weekend, B-CU seniors Melissa Berouty, Wanda Darby and Sophia Ortega celebrate Senior Appreciation Day with their last home series at Sunnyland Park.
• Annie Bakenhaus leads the Wildcats with a .336 batting average, while Iesha Waters is just behind her with a .330 average.
• Pitchers Sabrina Anguiano and Deidra Genera have combined for 95 strikeouts on the year.
• Genera has the only complete game shutout on the campaign for the Maroon and Gold.
• Waters, one of five newcomers to this year's roster, is a perfect 15-for-15 in stolen bases on the campaign. Meanwhile, Bakenhaus is tied atop the team lead for stolen bases with 15 of her own.
• Third baseman Kaitlin Alamprese, shortstop Ortega and Brianna Sanders are the only two Wildcats to have recorded a double, triple and home run on the year.
Notes on the Eagles
• Senior second baseman Jenny Tracy had seven hits against the Lady Tigers, including her team-high fourth home run, and now leads NCCU with a .319 batting average.
• Tracy ranks 21st in the MEAC in hitting.
• Junior pitcher/designated hitter Dominique Wilson and senior third baseman Markell Wylie have hovered around a .300 batting average all season and currently maintain marks of .294 and .292, respectively.
• Wilson tops the Lady Eagles with 15 RBI and Wylie has scored a team-high 17 times.
