DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman Women's Basketball Head Coach
Janell Crayton Del Rosario announced Friday afternoon the signing of two new student-athletes for the 2025-26 incoming class welcoming Madison Holden and Dariasia Pitts to Daytona Beach and the Wildcats Family.
Â
Madison Holden is a 5-foot-6 guard that arrives to Bethune-Cookman after stops at Cal Lutheran University, and most recently Central Arizona College. While at Central Arizona for the 2024-25 campaign, Holden was named first team all-conference, in addition to being a first team all-region performer averaging 14.9 points per game and shooting 43.1 percent from the field. From beyond the arc, the Reseda, California native shot at a 31.7 percent clip, as well as handing out 2.3 assists per game. She recorded 28 points on 12 of 17 shooting from the floor against Community Christian (Feb. 8), adding a 4-for-5 effort from three-point range.
Â
Madison is a dynamic player whose skills and passion for the game will easily translate, not only to this level, but to the Southwestern Athletic Conference, as a whole," expressed Crayton Del Rosario. "She's a scoring guard, which is what we need. She is someone who can push the pace in transition and get to her spots to create her own shot, and she can help others create their own shot as well. She's a gym rat, and she's always working to improve her skills, and that's going to continue here at the beach, without a doubt."
Â
The addition of Dariasia Pitts adds depth to the front court for the Wildcats, stemming from the loss of seniors
Kayla Clark and
Chanelle McDonald from last season's squad. Pitts is a 6-foot forward from Fort Meade, Florida, and a product of Winter Haven Sr. High School. She not only helped lead her high school side to an FHSAA title in 2025, but she averaged 6.3 points and 5.1 rebounds for the Blue Devils along the way. She also added 0.6 blocks per game. Pitts played for Sara Nuxol – a former Director of Operations at North Florida, at East Coast United on the AAU level. Against Sarasota High this past season at Winter Haven, Pitts poured in 18 points and shot 67 percent from the field in her side's convincing 82-25 victory.
Â
"Dariasia is a strong player who's coming from a great pedigree of both high school and the AAU circuit," remarked Crayton Del Rosario. "She's a winner. She can be versatile and work inside-outside. We feel like her abilities in the paint and rebounding, mixed with her toughness, will prove beneficial as we elevate within the SWAC. She comes from a championship program at Winter Haven High, as well as her AAU program at East Coast United. So, we already know she has had great coaches and development which will only continue here at Bethune-Cookman."
