DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Bethune-Cookman extended its winning streak to six Saturday as the Wildcats (21-22) swept North Carolina Central (6-30) 10-2 and 10-1 in a doubleheader at Sunnyland Park.

Allison Garcia two for B-CU in the opener, while Garcia launched a three-run homer, Michelle Banuelos-Smith and Aurelia Gamch an inside-the-park round tripper for the Wildcats in the second game.

B-CU broke open the first game with a five-run second inning as Hinds smacked a two-run double followed by Garcia duplicating the effort.

After B-CU stretched its lead to 7-0, NCCU got on the scoreboard with two runs in the fifth before the Wildcats scored three in the bottom half of the inning for the run-rule decision.

Banuelos-Smith scored three runs for B-CU in the first game without getting a hit - she was hit by a pitch and reached twice on error.

Garcia's shot in the first inning gave B-CU an early 3-0 run lead that increased to 5-0 after the Wildcats manufactured two runs in the second. The Banuelous-Smith homer in the fifth made it 8-1 then Gamch's rip down the left field line allowed her and Hinds to score.

Garcia picked up the game one decision while Chastity Sanders scattered five hits to win game two.

The series concludes Sunday at 12 p.m.
