JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Bethune-Cookman's eight-game winning streak came to an end Tuesday as Jacksonville posted an 8-0 victory over the Wildcats at the JU Softball Complex.

Sarah Sigrest threw a two-hitter for the Dolphins (18-14).

B-CU loaded the bases in the first inning as Michelle Banuelos-Smith drew a walk and Kelsey Rodney was hit by a pitch, but the Wildcats (14-21) couldn't capitalize on the opportunity.

Sabrina Ferguson's leadoff single in the fourth accounted for B-CU's other hit.

The Wildcats begin Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play this weekend with a three-game series against North Carolina Central at Sunnyland Park. First pitch for Saturday's doubleheader is 1 p.m. and Sunday's finale starts at noon.
