JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman's Alejandra Vidal combined with Maria Garoz-Moreno to win a doubles flight Saturday and advanced to Sunday's singles finals to highlight the Lady Wildcats' effort at the Bedford Cup.

Vidal, a freshman, claimed a three-set victory over Florida A&M's Dominique Henry,  4-6,6-4,6-1 in the Singles #4 flight. Vidal will meet UCF's Monica Matias in the finals Sunday at 9 a.m. at the University of North Florida.

She is undefeated (9-0) in three fall tournaments this season.

Earlier in the day, Vidal and Garoz-Moreno, also a freshman, concluded an undefeated three-match run through the Doubles #3 flight with an 8-3 victory over Florida Gulf Coast's  Alexanda Landert  and Breanna Stampfli. 

Also on Saturday, senior Gaby Chinchilla dropped a 6-2,6-2 decision to North Florida's Mariella Calderon in the second round of the Singles #5 flight.
