JACKSONVILLE, Fla.  – Bethune-Cookman's Alejandra Vidal fell 6-1, 6-1 to UCF's Monica Matias in the Singles #4 Flight final Sunday at the Bedford Cup hosted by North Florida.

The freshman was vying for her second flight championship of the fall season. Three weeks ago, she took a flight at the HBCU National Championships to help the Lady Wildcats win their third consecutive tournament championship.

Vidal is 9-1 in singles play after three fall tournaments.

On Saturday, Vidal combined with Maria Garoz-Moreno to take the Doubles 3 championship.

Bethune-Cookman concludes its Fall schedule October 24-26 when its hosts the Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational.
