JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman competes in its third tournament of its fall schedule this weekend at the Bedford Cup hosted by the University of Florida.

Ten 10 of Florida's 12 Division I teams are participating. Last year, Mina Matsuba advanced to the quarterfinals of the “A” Flight as a freshman, but is only playing doubles this year. Matsuba and doubles partner Maria Sablina are undefeated  (6-0) after the first two tournaments.  

Newcomer Alejandra Vidal enters the weekend undefeated in fall play at 7-0. She and Chinatsu Kajiwara (6-1) registered flight championships at the HBCU National tournament three weeks ago. Adel Musina and Ancia Ifill are 6-1 and 5-1, respectively,
