TAMPA -- Facing two top five teams on the same day, Bethune-Cookman concluded its first weekend of the 2014 season Sunday at the USF Wilson DeMarini Tournament.
The Wildcats (0-5) dropped a 12-1 decision to No. 4 Michigan and an 8-0 setback to No. 3 Florida on the final day of the USF Wilson DeMarini tournament in Tampa.
Calesha Shelley scored B-CU's run against Michigan on a Bailey Conner third inning sacrifice fly. Conner also struck out three of the seven Wolverine batters she faced.
Kelsey Rodney had a first inning double for the Wildcats against the Gators.
For the tournament, Rodney hit .750 with two doubles and a RBI with an on base percentage of .900 while Shelley hit .333.
B-CU returns to action Friday, facing Campbell and Elon at the Hatter Invitational in DeLand.
