DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Bethune-Cookman dropped a 6-1 decision to #74 South Alabama Friday at City Island.
Elizabeth Nyenwe registed the lone victory at No. 4 singles for the Lady Wildcats (3-7) against the undefeated Jaguars (7-0), who defeated UCF 4-3 the day before.
"We gave a very strong team a good battle, said B-CU Head Coach Tim Pleasant. "It's a 6-1 loss, but we had opportunities in other matches to make this a lot closer. Playing a team like
this early in the season will only help us when we go into conference play."
Nyenwe improved to 5-4 on the season.
