DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Bethune-Cookman took two matches Tuesday, downing Campbell 5-2 and Savannah State 7-0 in its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opener.
The Wildcats (6-7,1-0 MEAC) have now won three straight and four of their last five.
Chinatsu Kajiwara and Maria Sablina won all four of their matches -- two doubles and singles -- Tuesday.
Elizabeth Nyenwe extended her singles winning streak to five matches. Gaby Chinchilla and Kajiwara have now each won three straight.
The No. 1 doubles team of Sablina and Mina Matsuba improved to 8-3.
The Lady Wildcats face MEAC defending champion South Carolina State Saturday at 2 p.m. in Florence, S.C.
