FORT MYERS, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman competes in its third event of the Fall season this weekend at the Bedford Cup hosted by Florida Gulf Coast.
All the state's Division I programs are scheduled to compete. Sponsored by the Youth Tennis Foundation of Florida, the Bedford Cup is an annual traveling tournament that brings together every Division I program in Florida. The women's event began in 2012 and has previously been hosted by USF, Florida and UNF.
Play begins Friday morning and concludes Sunday.
LADY CAT UPDATE: Sophomore Alejandra Vidal won a doubles flights and advanced to her singles flight final last year…Senior Ancia Ifill is back in the line-up after missing the Georgia Southern Invitational two weeks ago … Matea Roki is 3-1 in singles play and 4-1 in doubles so far this fall, the last two with newcomer Hilary Hanton …Two-time Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player Of The Year Mina Matsuba improved her fall career record to 16-3 with her win at Georgia Southern.
