The 6-1 victory over 74th ranked Northern Illinois and a 5-0 decision over Jackson State improved the Lady Wildcats' record to 8-5.
“I'm happy to be 8-5, and I'm happy that the girls are responding to a tough schedule,” said B-CU Head Coach Tim Pleasant.” I believe our girls now are just on another level of confidence and I hope we can take that into conference.
Maria Sablina, Alejandra Vidal and Gaby Chinchilla each won all four of the singles and doubles matches on the day.
Freshman Maria Garoz-Mareno extended her singles winning streak to six with her victory against Northern Illinois.
The Lady Wildcats' Thursday match against Southern Mississippi has been cancelled. Next up is the opening of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play this weekend.
