CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – Bethune-Cookman softball suffered two setbacks during the Wildcats final full day in the Golden State as they fell to Oregon State (9-0) and Loyola Marymount (5-2), Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Big League Dreams complex.
The rookie dup of Brianna Sanders and Annie Bakenhus led the Wildcats offensively each finishing 2-for-5 (.400) at the plate while Sanders recorded a run.
During Bailey Conner's two at bats during game two against LMU, the junior went 1-for-2 at the dish with two RBI's.
Sabrina Anguiano threw 9.10 innings for B-CU on the day finishing with seven strike outs while allowing 13 earned runs.
Bethune-Cookman returns to action Sunday, Feb. 28 as the Wildcats wrap-up their west coast stay, facing Boise State at 9 a.m., at the Big League Dreams complex.
