TAMPA, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman softball dropped a pair of midweek games at USF, as the Wildcats fell 5-0 and 11-0 in non-conference action on Wednesday, April 6 at the USF Softball Stadium.
The Wildcats struggled to get anything going in Tampa offensively, as B-CU totaled four hits on the afternoon over the twos games. Rookie Annie Bakenhus accounted for two of the Wildcat hits, finishing 2-for-5 at the plate.
Sabrina Anguiano threw the complete six innings in game one, allowing four earned runs while striking out two batters.
Deidra Genera and Bailey Connor split time in the circle during game two, combining for nine earned runs and three strike outs.
The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, April 9 as Bethune-Cookman opens “Senior Weekend” at home against North Carolina Central University. Game one of doubleheader action on Saturday is set for 1 p.m., while game three is slated for noon on Sunday.
