Bethune-Cookman University junior forward
Shawntrez Davis has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic conference's Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon. It is the second consecutive honor for Davis in as many weeks. The 6-9 forward out of Atlanta led the
MEAC with averages of 3.5 blocks and 10 rebounds in two games as
Bethune-Cookman finished 2-0 for the week. In the home win over
Grambling State, Davis blocked four shots and grabbed nine rebounds while blocking three shots and pulling down 11 rebounds versus Florida College. The transfer from South Plans College (Texas) leads the
MEAC and sits eighth nationally in double-doubles for the season (four), and averaged 13.5 points during the two-game span.

North Carolina A&T State's Femi Olujobi and
Hampton's Jermaine Marrow has been selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (
MEAC) Co-Men's Basketball Players of the Week, the conference announced today.
Bethune-Cookman's Shawntrez Davis was named Defensive Player of the Week while
LaPri McCray-Pace of Morgan State earned Rookie of the Week honors.
Olujobi continued his torrid start to the season as he averaged a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds en route to a 2-0 week for the Aggies. The 6-8, 233-pound junior from Long Island, N.Y. started off the previous week with a 27-point, 11-rebound performance versus Mid-Atlantic Christian followed by a 23-point, nine-rebound showing in a road win at East Carolina.
Olujobi also had a strong showing from the free throw line as he finished 18-of-20 (90 percent) while dishing out 2.5 assists.
Marrow led Hampton to a 2-1 record over the past week with averages of 17.3 points, 6.7 assists and two steals per game. The 6-1 sophomore from Newport News, Va. received Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational All-Tournament honors as he scored 19 points with eight assists and four steals versus Northern Arizona while scoring 19 points and seven assists versus Rider. He closed out the week with a 15-point, five-assist night against St. Leo
on Monday.

McCray-Pace averaged 18 points on 64 percent shooting, six rebounds and 0.5 blocks as Morgan State has won its past two contests. The 6-4 freshman from Philadelphia scored 21 points and grabbed seven boards versus
Goldey-Beacom and followed it up with a 15-point, five-rebound, two-steal performance in Morgan State's win at Mount St. Mary's.
Other Top Performers
Marcus Barham (Florida A&M) captured a pair of 20-plus point games with 23 points against North Dakota State and 26 points at Stephen F. Austin.
R.J. Cole (Howard) combined for 29 points, 13 assists, and two steals in a two-game span against South Florida and Liberty.
Karonn Davis (Coppin State) scored a season-high 14 points and seven rebounds in an overtime loss at Central Connecticut State.
Raasean Davis (North Carolina Central) averaged 15 points in three games highlighted by a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double at Southeast Missouri State.
Soufiyane Diakite (Bethune-Cookman) combined for 25 points, 16 rebounds, three blocks and three steals in wins over Florida College and
Grambling State.
Zacarry Douglas (North Carolina Central) averaged nine points and 6.3 rebounds in games against Marshall, Illinois, and SE Missouri State.
Aaren Edmead (North Carolina A&T State) led the Aggies to an undefeated mark over the past week highlighted by a 25-point, six-assist, three-steal win at East Carolina.
KeAndre Fair (Coppin State) tallied 11 points in his first career start at Central Connecticut State.
Kalin Fisher (Hampton) recorded consecutive double-doubles with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Rider followed by a 24-point, 11 rebound contest against Saint Leo.
Reggie Gardner Jr. (North Carolina Central) led
NCCU in scoring with 15 points per game highlighted by 18 points at Illinois.
Kameron Langley (North Carolina A&T State) recorded 13 points, five rebounds, seven assists and four steals for the Aggies in wins against Mid-Atlantic Christian and East Carolina.
Isaiah Martin (Florida A&M) averaged eight rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots last week. Brandon
Tabb (
Bethune-Cookman) secured a season-high with 26 points in the Wildcats' win over
Grambling. He averaged 22.5 points in two games including 11 three-pointers made.
Nic Thomas (Norfolk State) combined for 21 points and eight rebounds on the road in games against Robert Morris and Arkansas-Little Rock.
Steven Whitley (Norfolk State) averaged five rebounds, two steals and 0.5 blocks in a pair of road contests at Robert Morris and Arkansas-Little Rock.
