The Evergreen State - Bethune-Cookman University survives its four-game road trip spanning three states and chewing up a solid chunk of its 19,154 road mileage this season with a pair of inaugural matchups with Evergreen State opponents. The Wildcats begin with a 10 pm ET tip Tuesday at the University of Washington, and conclude the 2017 schedule portion at Washington State on Dec. 22 at 9 pm ET. The Wildcats have endured the effects of the recent power outage at the Atlanta Airport and the journey to Seattle has held its challenges. 

1 Entering this week, Bethune-Cookman leads the MEAC in offensive rebounds (13.58), blocks (57), and free throw attempts (260). Amongst the NCAA, it is 19th in offensive boards, 32nd in blocks, and 31st in free throw attempts

2 Kennesaw State's 42 free throw attempts was the second time this season a BCU opponent has stepped to the penalty stripe for the Jackie Robinson number. The Owls made only 27 of the tries, but converted 13 of their final 17

3 Tuesday's contest at Washington marks the second game of the four-game road trek that pits a pair of first year Head Coaches as Ryan Ridder squares off against Mike Hopkins. Ridder and BCU previously fell at USF (Dec. 14), and is the third time this season BCU has played at new regime, also dropping a Nov. 16 game at North Texas

4 BCU is aiming for its fourth win over a non-D1 when the Wildcats face the Huskies. The last time BCU earned four non-conference D1 wins was in 2009 when BCU beat Longwood, UT Pan-Am., FGCU, and Long Island

Shawntrez Davis collected his Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference-leading seventh double-double but Bethune-Cookman dropped an 81-74 decision to Kennesaw State Saturday night at the KSU Convocation Center.
With 19 points and 10 rebounds, Davis was one of three Wildcats (5-7) in double-figures, joining Brandon Tabb's 14 and Isaiah Bailey's 13 points.

Tuesday's tilt at Washington represents the first contest with a Pac-12 foe since Nov. 17, 2015, when the Wildcats fell at Arizona State by a 49-39 margin. Only one current player was on the roster then, when

forward Ulmer Manzie redshirted. BCU is 0-7 all-time against Pac-12 opponents

Junior guard Malik Maitland enters the week as a MEAC leader in helper categories. He sits third with 5.3 assists-per-game, 64 total assists (32nd NCAA), and a 2.21 A/TO ratio. Maitland's 396 minutes played ranks fourth and 1.75 steals-per-game is good for sixth in the conference

Bailey's Consistent Offense

Slasher Isaiah Bailey has scored double-digits in four-straight, and in 10 of 12 starts. He has played 36 minutes in each of the last three games, and is coming off his second-best FT shooting performance of the season with a 7-9 showing at KSU
