DELAND, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman sojurns to nearby DeLand Wednesday and Thursday for the Stetson Hatter Classic, facing Texas State on Wednesday and Richmond the following day. Both games tip off at 3 p.m.

The Lady Wildcats (6-3) had a three-game winning streak snapped Sunday afternoon by Jacksonville, who pulled away to a 68-58 decision. Texas State (7-2) has won three straight, while Richmond (5-6) has lost three in a row.

This is B-CU's last two games before the Christmas Holiday; they will face Miami in their non-conference finale on Dec. 28.

B-CU UPDATE: A victory Wednesday would be give B-CU seven wins in 10 starts for the first time since 1985-86 when that team started 8-2 … The Lady Wildcats are 1-1 outside the friendly confines of Historic Moore Gymnasium this season … Chasimmie Brown has three double-doubles on the season,  eight double-figure scoring games and leads the MEAC in FG% … Angel Golden has reached double-figures in two of her last three games … Ashanti Hunt has scored double-figures in her last four … B-CU leads the MEAC in assists per game, FG%, rebound margin, scoring margin and 3FG%.

ABOUT TEXAS STATE:  The Bobcats bounced Sam Houston State 73-41 to end a 12-day layoff .. TSU competed in the WBI tournament last year … Toshua Leavitt leads the team with a 17.9 scoring average, while Taeler Deer is averaging 15.6 ppg and 5.0 rebounds.

ABOUT RICHMOND:  Navy handed the Spiders a 76-56 setback in their last outing on 12/6 … Richmond features the nation's top sister scoring duo in Micaela and Alex Parson, who have a combined average of 30.1 ppg; our sister duo of Brianna and Kanesha Battle is 8^th at 15.1 ppg.
