DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman looks to snap a two-game losing skid Sunday afternoon when the Lady Wildcats host Grand Canyon at 3 p.m. in Historic Moore Gym.

The Lady Wildcats (3-2) erased a 20-point third quarter deficit to force overtime, but fell to North Florida 70-63 on Thursday. Last Sunday, Bethune-Cookman dropped a 60-58 decision to SE Louisiana.

Grand Canyon (2-5) downed Florida Atlantic 77-73 in double overtime on Friday.

This is the first of a four-game December home stand for the Lady Wildcats, with three of those games on Sunday afternoons.

B-CU UPDATE: The obligatory comparison between wins and losses can be summarized like this: The Lady Wildcats' two lowest field goal percentage, free throw percentage and rebounding efforts this season have occurred in the losses … The last time B-CU lost two straight at home was to Hampton and Norfolk State in January 2015; since then the Lady Wildcats are 24-5 at home … Chasimmie Brown has been in double-figuring scoring all five games this season; she leads the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in FG% (56.0) … Ashanti Hunt leads the league in assists (5.4) … Despite her miss on Thursday, Kanesha Battle is 13^th in the nation in FT (92.9) … B-CU remains fifth in the nation in blocked shots (7.4)

SISTER ACTS: There are 18 pairs of sisters playing Division I this season, including our own Kanesha Battle and Brianna Battle, who are the sixth best scoring sister tandem with a combined 16.4 average (Thanks to Matt Moretti at the University of Richmond for compiling this).

ABOUT GRAND CANYON: The Antelopes are members of the Western Athletic Conference, where  Wolverines and Roadrunners but no Deer or Bucks play …  Head Coach Nicole Powell is a former WNBA All-Star who won a ring with the Sacramento Monarchs in 2005 and also was a three-time finalist for the James Naismith Player of the Year Award while at Stanford …Brie Mobley, a senior from Winter Haven, Fla, is averaging 21.4 points and 7.0 rebounds this season … One of their losses was to #12 Duke.
