GREENSBORO, N.C. – Reggie Baker went 6-for-6 from the line in the final 15 seconds to help Bethune-Cookman fend off North Carolina A&T, 73-70 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) game Monday night at Corbett Sports Center.

Both Baker and
Brandon Tabb each scored 22 points as Bethune-Cookman (8-21 overall, 5-10 MEAC) saw a 21-point first-half lead dwindle.

North Carolina A&T (2-28, 0-15 MEAC) got it to within 69-67 on a Martin Jones lay-up with nine seconds remaining, and later 71-70 on Eliel Gonzalez' three-pointer with two seconds to play.

Baker answered each Aggies basket with two free throws to help the visiting Wildcats conclude their road schedule with a 2-6 conference mark.

Quinton Forrest added 10 points as the Wildcats scored 17 unanswered points to turn a 5-4 deficit into a 22-4 lead on a Tabb three-pointer with 12:14 remaining in the first half.

Tabb, who made six (6) three-pointers and also led the team with seven rebounds, gave BCU a 38-17 lead on a shot from beyond the arc with 2:14 remaining. But the Aggies closed the first half on an 8-0 run to pull themselves to within 38-25.

Gonzalez led North Carolina A&T with 20 points.

Bethune-Cookman, which has won three of its last four, wraps up its regular season at home Thursday against Florida A&M at 7:30 p.m. It will be Senior Night honoring Baker,
Diamante Lewis and
Josue Salaam.

NOTES: This was the 14th time this season the Wildcats have been in a game decided by six points or less ... B-CU has won four of its last six against North Carolina A&T in Greensboro ... This was Baker's seventh 20-point game of the season and Tabb's 16th.
