DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Quinton Forrest scored a career-high 28 points in Bethune-Cookman's 88-82 overtime loss to Delaware State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game Saturday on Coach Cy Court in Historic Moore Gym.
DeVaugh Mallory scored 20 points and Devin Morgan eight in overtime for the Hornets (7-18 overall,4-6 MEAC).
Brandon Tabb (21 points) gave B-CU a 73-71 lead to start overtime, but Morgan connected on consecutive three-pointers as Delaware State took a 79-73 and extended it to 85-77.
The Wildcats (4-18, 1-7) erased a 12-point deficit to take a 65-63 lead on Forrest's lay-up with 3:58 left and would lead 71-66 after back-to-back three-pointers from Jeffrey Altidort and
Reggie Baker. Delaware State came back to force overtime after Dana Raysor's three-pointer with 1:26 left and Kavon Waller's dunk with 50 second remaining.
Altidort had 15 points and eight assists for the Wildcats, who lost their four straight.

"We fought hard but came up short. There were positives from this game and now we just have to look ahead to Monday [vs. Howard].
