Thomas Completes NCAA Leadership Institute

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Bethune-Cookman University Assistant Athletic Director for Athletics Compliance Reggie Thomas recently completed a two-year NCAA Leadership Institute.

One of 22 minority and female athletic administrators selected to participate, Thomas met with his colleagues in Tampa to compare and discuss challenges and scenarios faced in developing skill sets and tools effective athletic administrators need in today's ever-changing workplace. The group first met last year in Phoenix, and remained in contact throughout the 2016-17 academic year.

Participants of the institute not only enhance and master skill sets, but also explore and plan for future career goals and paths.

"Being selected to the NCAA Leadership Institute was an eye-opening experience that enhanced my perspective and has prepared me to continue my pursuit of my ultimate goal of being a collegiate director of athletics."
