ATLANTA -- Angel Golden and Kiana Williams each scored 19 points in Bethune-Cookman's 62-57 loss to host Georgia State Friday afternoon.

GSU's Allison Johnson scored 17 points as the Panthers (6-4) pulled away from a 28-28 halftime tie, taking a 43-32 lead on Jada Lewis' lay-up with 58 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

The Lady Wildcats (7-4) closed to 48-44 on a Golden three-pointer with 5:43 to play, but the Panthers scored the next five points to keep BCU at bay. Williams got BCU to five three times in the final two minutes, but that's as close as BCU could come.

Golden made four three-pointers and Williams was 9-17 from the field for BCU, which saw a three-game winning streak come to an end.

Amaya Scott finished with eight points and seven rebounds.

BCU led 16-10 at the end of the first quarter and took its biggest lead at 21-10 on a Scott basket with 8:34 left in the first half.

BCU returns to action December 28 at Charlotte.
