The Wildcats enter the weekend in a tie for third place with North Carolina Central and Norfolk State before hosting UMES (Feb. 10, 4 p.m.) and NCCU (Feb. 12, 7:30 p.m.).

BCU (12-12, 6-3) nearly erased a pair of nine-point second-half deficits, but Brandon Tabb's fadeaway three from the deep right wing was off and NSU (8-16, 6-3) moved its win streak to four games.
Davis Named MEAC Player Of The Week
Shawntrez Davis was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Davis averaged a double-double of 26 points and 15.5 rebounds as the Wildcats finished the past cycle with a 1-1 mark. The 6-9, 220-pound junior from Atlanta, Ga. also led the MEAC in field goal percentage after shooting 79.2 (19-of-24) percent from the field in addition to a pair of blocked shots. On the rebounding end, Davis averaged 10.5 defensive rebounds and five offensive rebounds. This past weekend, Davis had a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds while dishing out four assists and a blocked shot versus Coppin State.On Monday, Davis finished with 30 points on 10-of-11 shooting, 17 rebounds and a block in the contest versus Norfolk State.
