Box Score BALTIMORE, Md..– Season-highs by redshirt-junior Cletrell Pope with 24 points and 22 rebounds were not enough as a halftime lead evaporated for Bethune-Cookman in a 77-71 setback to Morgan State at Hill Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon. Pope pulled in 10 offensive rebounds as BCU set a season-high with 59 boards.

Pope is just the eighth player in the nation to post a 20/20 game this season, and joins Western Michigan's Seth Dugan as the only players with at least 24 points and 22 rebounds (Dugan totaled 32 on Nov. 6).

BCU (8-12, 3-3) led 31-25 at the break before the host Bears came out of the locker room hungry. MSU (8-12, 3-4) quickly tied the game at 35 on a Martez Cameron free throw at 16:02, and later took the lead for good on one of Kyson Rawl's five treys with 12:43 remaining.

MSU eventually stretched its lead to 10 on a Shwerwyn Devonish-Prince Jr. lay-in with 7:57.

However, the Wildcats showed no quit with a 9-0 spurt tie the game at 62 on Shawntrez Davis' three with 3:14 remaining.

MSU settled in at the stripe over the final minutes of the game, sinking 11 of its last 12 free throws, to preserve the comeback victory.

Soufiyane Diakite recorded his fourth double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while teammate Malik Maitland was also in double-figures with 13 points. Davis totaled eight boards and eight boards.

BCU remains in the Clipper City with a 7:30 p.m. bout against Coppin State on Monday.
