MIAMI – Amaya Scott posted a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double and

The Lady Wildcats (2-0) saw a 13-point lead dwindle to 58-56 on Gulia Bongiorno's three-pointer with 1:58 remaining. A Hatcher free throw, followed by Scott's rebound pushed BCU back to a 61-56 advantage and the Panthers (1-3) never got closer than four points after that.
Earlier, FIU cut it to 51-48 but Scott and
Camary Harris combined for a seven-point run that made it 58-48 with 2:33 remaining.
BCU found itself down 13-4 in the early minutes, but overcame a slow shooting starting by outscoring the Panthers 22-8 in the second quarter to take a 31-21 halftime lead.
Harris finished with nine points, while
Ciara Thompson added eight points and 10 rebounds.
Jiselle Thomas led FIU with 20.
