Harper, Nichols Garner MEAC Track Weekly Honors

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Bethune-Cookman's Dominic Harper earned Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors, while  Monae Nichols was named Women's Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Harper, a senior from Altamonte Springs set the MEAC's best mark in the pole vault at the South Carolina Indoor Open, leaping 4.56 meters (14 feet, 5 inches).
 
Nichols, a sophomore from Lakeland, won the long jump at the South Carolina Indoor Open, setting a new conference-best mark at 6.02 meters (19 feet, 9 inches).

BCU begins competition at the MEAC Indoor Championships Thursday in Landover, Md.
