DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Bethune-Cookman University men's basketball continues its longest home stretch of the season when Norfolk State visits Historic Moore Gym on Saturday, Feb. 9, and Howard comes to town on Monday, Feb. 11. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m Saturday and 7:30 Monday, and will be aired on the CatEye Network (click
here to subscribe) Saturday. Monday's game will be BCU's second appearance on the recently announced
FloSports partnership with the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).

Before Monday's game against Howard, the 2019 NCAA Final Four Trophy will be on display at Moore Gymnasium. Fans are welcome to view and take a picture with the trophy at no charge.

3 Cletrell Pope paces the MEAC and leads the nation with an average of 4.57 offensive rebounds. He is second nationally with his 12.3 rebounding average, and third with 283 total boards. The redshirt-junior's 15 double-doubles ranks third in the NCAA, and his 7.74 defensive rebound average is good for 15th. Pope is second in the MEAC in total blocks (31) and third in average (1.35)
4 Pope's 22 rebs at MSU on Jan. 26 tied him for 20th in BCU single-game records, and the second highest in D1 history. He is in striking distance of a top-10 single-season mark, needing a total of 286 to enter the fold, and 295 to set a D1 record
5 The 'Cats lead the MEAC in defensive rebounding average (28.00), offensive boards (13.52), rebounding average (41.52), FG defense (40.3%), and 3pt defense (28.9%)

Malik Maitland's17 points led four Bethune-Cookman players in double figures as the Wildcats used a strong second half on both ends of the court for a key 69-53 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference victory Monday night in Historic Moore Gym.
Dondre Duffus scored 11 points, and

Cletrell Pope 10 each for the Wildcats (10-13 overall, 5-4 MEAC) as they moved into a tie with North Carolina Central and Coppin State for fourth place in the conference standings.

A furious comeback that nearly erased a late 13-point deficit came up short as Bethune-Cookman fell to Norfolk State, 75-68, at Echols Hall Monday night.
Cletrell Pope totaled his MEAC-leading 10th double-double with a season-high 22 points and 11 rebounds.

Mark Gordon scored early and often, and
Wali Parks sored nine of his 10 points in the final two minutes to lead Bethune-Cookman over host Howard, 71-63, at Burr Gymnasium Saturday afternoon. Gordon hit his first five trifectas en route to a season-best 22 points, and forward
Cletrell Pope registered his ninth double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds..
