NORFOLK, Va. – Bethune-Cookman University's Kayla Traylor has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player Of The Week, it was announced Tuesday [April 30, 2019].

The sophomore from Riverside, Calif. went 7-for-10 at the plate for a .700 batting average and scored three runs while also driving in three runs. In the game two win over Florida A&M, Traylor when 2-for-3 at the plate and scored a run and drove in two for the Wildcats in a 7-1 victory that clinched the South Division's No. 1 seed for next month's conference tournament.

Traylor batted a team-best .421 during conference play.

BCU hosts the MEAC tournament May 8-11 at the Ormond Beach Sports Complex.
