GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Carlin Berryhill highlighted Bethune-Cookman University's 2019 cross country season opener with a top 20 finish at the Mountain Dew Invitational hosted by the University of Florida.
The defending Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champion overcame a mid-race tumble and clocked an 8K time of 26:20.06, finishing 17th overall.
Freshman
DaMauri Little, grandson of Miami Dolphin Hall of Famer, was the second Wildcat to cross the finish line, posting a 29:58.42 and finishing 180th.
BCU finished 26th in the 31-team men's field.
