.@BCUWBB Extends Winning Streak To Six

ORANGEBURG, S.C – Amaya Scott posted a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double as Bethune-Cookman won its sixth straight with a 66-55 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference victory at South Carolina State Monday evening.

Kiana Williams scored all of her season-high 11 points in the second half, including five in the decisive 13-1 Lady Wildcat(14-5 overall, 6-1 MEAC) run over the final 6:53.

South Carolina State (3-17,2-5), erased a 51-42 deficit to take a 54-53 lead on a Heniaya Moten (26 points) lay-up, but the Bulldogs would miss their final nine field goal attempts and score just one free throw.

Scott gave BCU the lead back at 55-54, then Williams converted a traditional three-point play to push the lead up to four. Ashanti Hunt added four points and Armani Walker two down the stretch.

Walker finished with eight points, while Daniella Hatcher and Ciara Thompson added seven each. This was Scott's fourth double-double of the year.

BCU travels to Florida A&M Saturday.
