DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman dropped both games of a doubleheader to Eastern Kentucky Wednesday at Sunnyland Park, losing the opener 1-0 and the second game 9-1.
Victoria Guzman held the Colonels (22-2) to three hits in the opener.
Quianah Mitchell had a leadoff double in the first,
Kaiya Epps-Lee a triple in the fourth and
Sasha Killings and
Samantha Kelley consecutive singles in the seventh.
Eastern Kentucky scored seven in the second inning of the second game to take control.
Kayla Traylor scored an unearned run in the fourth for BCU.
BCU (5-28) is scheduled to host Buffalo in a doubleheader Tuesday.
