JACKSONVILLE – Bethune-Cookman returns to the road Sunday when the Wildcats travel to Jacksonville for a 2 p.m. game at North Florida.
The Wildcats (2-5) snapped a five-game losing skid – all on the road – with a 73-56 decision against Warner Monday in Moore Gym in their first home game since the season opener.
Kayla Clark overcame early foul trouble to post an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double-double -- her third straight game with double-digit rebounding.
Imani Reid added a career-high 14 points and
Morgan Beacham 12 for B-CU, whose 73 points marked a season-high.
STATS AND STUFF: Beacham has been in double-figure scoring the past five games and six of the seven played so far. She's fifth in the Southwestern Athletic Conference in scoring (13.6 point per game and 10
th in free throw percentage (.703). Clark is sixth in rebounding (7.3) and Reid ninth (6.6).
Taylor Williams (9.3) is 21
st in scoring and 11
th in assists (2.3) while
Camary Harris and
Tatum Hayes are 17
th in 3FG (1.1).
ABOUT UNF: The Ospreys (5-5) concluded a five-game road trip at Georgia with a 69-40 setback Dec. 8. Jazz Bond put up 30 points, nine rebounds and eight blocks in UNF's game Saturday, Dec. 4 at FIU. Bond tied her own program single-game record for blocks.
