Daytona Beach, FL – For the first time in 650 days, there will be Wildcats men's basketball at Moore Gymnasium, as the Wildcats make their 2021 home debut against the Suns of Johnson University, Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m.

Last week, the Wildcats suffered defeat at the hands of NC State, 65-48. Bethune-Cookman headed into halftime down only 34-29, but the Wildcats could not build momentum in the second half.
Joe French scored 14 points in the contest, and
Dylan Robertson and
Marcus Garrett grabbed six rebounds each.
The Wildcats will look to put their five-game losing streak behind them Wednesday.
Scouting the Suns
Johnson University, losers of five straight, is 3-7 to start the season, including a 2-0 start in NCCAA South play. The Suns were defeated by nearby Stetson University 104-48 Monday night. Corey Shelton led the Suns with 18 points in the game. Cedric Green finished with seven rebounds, three blocks, and a pair of steals.
Notes
- Wednesday's game marks the end of the longest Wildcat road trip since 2016-17 season, when B-CU spent over two months and 18 straight games away from home due to water damage at Moore Gymnasium.
- Three Wildcats are shooting over 80% from the free throw line this season. Joe French leads at 88%, followed by Damani McEntire and Jakolby Long.
- French has scored in double figures in seven out of nine games to begin the season.
- French has shot over 45 percent from the field in six of nine games. He ranks third in the SWAC with 15.7 points per game, and second in field goal percentage at 44 percent.
- The Wildcats have not lost six games in a row since the 2016-17 season.
