The Wildcats scuffled against UCF on Sunday, taking a 45-81 loss to the Knights in Orlando. A complete UCF effort saw them best the Wildcats in rebounding, assists, shooting percentage, bench scoring, and free throws. The Wildcats will look to move on quickly as non-conference play winds down.
Scouting the Wolfpack
NC State is off to a 6-2 start this season. After a 4OT win over Nebraska Dec. 1, the Wolfpack had a three-game win streak snapped at the hands of ACC foe Louisville on Dec. 4. NC State's slate also featured a 65-57 win over the SWAC's Texas Southern on Nov. 21.
NC State averages 79.9 points per game and allows an average of 74.3 points per game. The Wolfpack is shooting 42 percent from the field and only 29 percent from three this season. They attempt an average of 19 free throws per game and grab 40 rebounds per game.
NC State swept ACC weekly honors this week. Guard Dereon Seabron was named ACC Player of the Week for the second time this season after averaging 25 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists per game for the week. Freshman guard Terquavion Smith was named ACC Freshman of the Week after averaging 13 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for the week.

- Joe French ranks in the top three in the SWAC in scoring, field goal percentage, three-point percentage, three-pointers per game, and field goal attempts.
- French has scored in double figures in all but two games this season.
- Opponents have converted 79.7% of their free throws against B-CU. That combined mark would rank as the twelfth-best free throw percentage in all of Division I men's basketball.
- Dylan Robertson has logged the fourth-most minutes of any SWAC player this season, averaging 33.4 minutes per game.
