PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Tania White had 17 points and nine rebounds in Bethune-Cookman's 73-56 Southwestern Athletic Conference setback at Arkansas-Pine Bluff Monday night.
Zaay Green had 15 points as the Lions (8-8 overall, 4-2 SWAC) erased a 17-9 second quarter deficit and took a 33-26 halftime lead, then built it to 50-40 at the end of the third quarter.
B-CU (3-12, 1-4) pulled to 54-47 on a
Tatum Hayes three-pointer with 8:14 remaining, but could pull no closer.
White, who was 7-14 from the field, also led the Wildcats with four assists.
Hayes finished with a season-high 14 points, converting four of five from three-point range.
B-CU returns home Saturday to host Jackson State at 2 p.m. in Moore Gymnasium.
