DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman makes its Southwestern Athletic Conference debut against a very familiar face – the Rattlers of Florida A&M Monday at 5:30 p.m. in Historic Moore Gym.
This is the first game in a three-game homestand for the Wildcats (2-8), who will host Grambling and Southern next Saturday and Monday as they jump into their first SWAC schedule.
B-CU is 2-1 at home this season, but has lost its last three games. It last took the court Dec. 19 in an 88-59 setback at Georgia Southern.
B-CU UPDATE:
Morgan Beacham leads B-CU with a scoring average of 11.8 ppg, followed by
Taylor Williams and
Kayla Clark at 8.9 ppg). Clark leads the team in rebounding at a 9.3 clip, with a double-doubles in her last outing – an 18-point, 17-rebounding stat line at Georgia Southern. The freshman has been in double figure rebounding six times this year.
SERIES: B-CU has won the last nine meetings, including a 66-64 buzzer-beat in the last meeting back in 2020.
ABOUT FAMU: The Rattlers (0-11) last played Dec. 30 in a 64-54 loss against North Florida. They are led by Dylan Horton at 14.2 ppg and Anisja Harris at 10.4.
