DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman returns home to host a pair of Southwestern Athletic Conference games Saturday against Jackson State at 2 p.m. and Monday against Alcorn State at 5:30 p.m.
The Wildcats (3-12 overall, 1-4 SWAC) went on their first conference last weekend and managed a split, defeating Mississippi Valley State and falling to Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Following this, B-CU goes back on the road next weekend to take on Alabama State and Alabama A&M.
B-CU UPDATE
- Morgan Beacham leads the Wildcats in scoring with 10.4 ppg while Kayla Clark is the top rebounder at 7.3 per game and is seventh in the SWAC.
- Taylor Williams had a string of five consecutive games in double-figure scoring, including a 15-13 double-double in the win at Mississippi Valley State, but had it snapped Monday at Pine Bluff.
- Tania White has been in double figures four of the past five games.
- B-CU is sixth in the SWAC in offense at 58.7 ppg,
ABOUT JACKSON STATE
- The Tigers (7-6, 5-0) lead the SWAC by a game over Southern and Alabama State.
- All five victories have been by 21 points or more.
- Ameshya Williams (17.6) and Dayzsha Rogan (16.0) are second and third in the SWAC in scoring, respectively. Williams leads the league in rebounding with an 11.7 average
- JSU is both the top offense (76.2) and defense (64.8) in the league.
ABOUT ALCORN STATE
- The Braves (2-13,1-4) have lost their last four.
- Diamond Hall leads the team in scoring with 7.31 points a game.
