Last Time Out
It was all Seminoles Monday morning as Florida State immediately jumped out to a 29-8 first quarter lead and showed no signs of letting up, smothering the Wildcats on the defensive end on the way to the victory.
The Wildcats showed no signs of giving up in the fourth quarter, keeping a 20-23 pace with FSU as they drained five of their final seven shots.
The Wildcats shot 26 percent as a team in the contest, including a 24 percent clip from three.
O'Mariyah Tucker led the Wildcats with 11 points, while Kerrighan Dunn led on the boards with 8 rebounds. Kayla White added four assists.
Scouting the Owls
Monday will mark the season opener for FAU. They defeated St. Thomas, 100-56 in their lone exhibition contest back on Nov. 1. Alexa Zaph led her team with 23 points.
Last season, the Owls finished 5-25 last season, winning only a single conference game.
Notes
- Monday's game was originally scheduled as "Education Day" for Thursday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. The Education Day event will look to be rescheduled at a later date this season.
- The Wildcats were kept out of practice from Wednesday through Friday last week in preparation for Hurricane Nicole. The campus did not sustain significant damage.
