DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman hosts its first Southwestern Athletic Conference homestand as the Wildcats host Mississippi Valley State Saturday at 2 p.m. and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
The Wildcats (3-10 overall, 2-1 SWAC) are coming off a split of last week's road games, winning at Grambling and falling to Southern. They are currently in seventh place in the conference standings.
STATS AND STUFF
- Chanel Wilson is second in the conference in scoring (18.0) and leads the league in 3FG (2.8 ppg) and 3FG% (.446). She's second in FG% (.435) and FT% (.795). She's scored 20 points or more six times this season.
- Kayla Clark in second in rebounding (8.1), and is the leading rebounding in conference play (10.7). She has three double-figure rebounding totals in her last five games.
- D'Shantate Edwards has four double-figure scoring nights in the last six games. She's currently ninth in the nation.
- Nia Jordan has scored double figures in four games this season.
- The Wildcats have shot .500 or better the last two games and have had a rebound margin of +35 the last five.
Mississippi Valley State (2-13,0-7) has lost its last seven games while Arkansas-Pine Bluff (3-11, 1-3) has lost three of its past four.
