Bethune-Cookman makes its first Southwestern Athletic Conference road swing this weekend when the Wildcats face Grambling Saturday at 4:30 p.m. EST and Southern at 6:30 ET Monday.
The Wildcats (2-9 overall, 1-0 SWAC) opened league play with an 85-50 victory at Florida A&M, registering a team-high offensive output behind a season-high 25 points from
Chanel Wilson.
Grambling (3-10,2-0) swept its opening weekend of conference play while Southern (4-9,1-1) split its two games.
STATS AND STUFF
- Wilson now leads the SWAC in scoring with an average of 17.8 points per game. She also leads the league in 3FG% (.435) and 3FG per game as well as being third in FG% (.416) and fourth in FT% (.821)
- Kayla Clark is third in rebounds (7.7) and has recorded double-figure rebounds in two of the past three games
- D'Shantae Edwards is fourth in the nation in steals (3.7) and also leads the conference
- Nia Jordan is averaging 8.4 ppg and is averaging a double-double (11.3 ppg, 12.0) rebounds over the past three games.
