Tallahassee, FL – The Bethune-Cookman men finished eighth and women ninth as the Wildcats wrapped up the 2023 cross country season with the 2023 SWAC Cross Country Championships, Monday Morning at Apalachee Regional Park.
Freshman
Duane Lee paced the men, finishing 25th among a field of 61 runners 29:27.0. Next up for B-CU, Da'Quon King finished 35th with a time of 30:35.3. He was folloed by
Ja'Quon King in 41st,
Jonathan Gaines in 53rd, and
Christian Taylor in 57th.
The Wildcat men finished eighth in the event with 199 points.
The women's team finished ninth with a total score of 244.
Valencia Butler was the first Wildcat across the finish line, landing in 31st of 75 runners with a time of 29:27.0. She was followed by
Nyidjah Ives in 38th with a time of 29:27.0.
Kalyn Gibbs finished in 44th, followed by
Caliyah Gee in 64th and Amariay Waring in 69th and
Angel Parks in 70th.
