The Wildcats arrive to Gainesville looking to shake off the season-opening defeat at UCF from Monday evening.

▪ Bethune-Cookman comes into Thursday's contest on the heels of a 101-63 setback to UCF in the season opener on Monday evening.
▪ Head Coach
Janell Crayton is now in her third season in charge of the Wildcats program.

Chanel Wilson registered her first double-digit scoring output of the season in the opener, pouring in 13 points on 5 of 13 shooting from the field.
▪ Wilson, a 5-foot-7 guard from Powder Springs, Georgia, was named to the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Preseason Team. She finished the 2022-23 campaign as the SWAC Newcomer of the Year and an All-SWAC First Team performer.

Nia Jordan started the season with nine points.
Kerrighan Dunn provided 10 points with a pair of three-pointers.
▪ As a team, the Cats connected on seven (7) three-pointers Monday evening.
BCU VS. FLORIDA SERIES
▪ The first meeting between the Wildcats and Gators occurred on January 23, 1992, with Florida taking a 78-49 victory in Gainesville.
▪ The Gators lead the all-time series between the two schools by an 8-0 count.
▪ The only meeting to occur in Daytona Beach was a 64-56 setback on December 11, 1992.
▪ Florida grabbed a hard-fought 82-73 victory in the last meeting between the teams on November 18, 2022, in Gainesville.
SCOUTING FLORIDA
▪ Florida began the 2023-24 season with an 82-65 victory over North Florida.
▪ The Gators shot 47.9 percent from the floor in that contest against the Ospreys.
▪ Leilani Correa led all scorers with 21 points, as she connected on 9 of 16 from the field.
▪ Teammates Ra Shaya Kyle and Aliyah Matharu each tallied 15 points in the opener.
▪ Kyle completed her double-double with 12 rebounds (seven off the defensive glass), while Faith Dut added seven rebounds of her own.
LAST TIME OUT AGAINST THE GATORS
Chanel Wilson scored 24 points in Bethune-Cookman's 82-73 loss at Florida Friday evening. The Wildcats led three times in the third quarter, the last on a
D'Shantae Edwards free throw that made it 44-43 with 5:39 remaining. A Wilson lay-up gave B-CU, which trailed 20-9 after the first quarter, its first lead with 7:12 remaining at 38-37. Edwards made it 40-39 a minute later.
Florida regained the lead, but never led by more than ten points until the game's final minute.
Wilson was 5-10 from three-point range. Edwards finished with 14 points on 6-10 shooting.
O'Mariyah Tucker had nine points and a team-high six rebounds. Nina Rickards led Florida with 23 points.
UP NEXT
Bethune-Cookman will host Iona on Wednesday, Nov. 15, in what will be the 2023-24 home opener for the Wildcats at Moore Gymnasium. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
