The Wildcats were defeated by Minnesota in their season-opener 60-80.
Zion Harmon led the team in scoring with 17 points, while also grabbing a team-leading nine rebounds.
The Wildcats outrebounded the Golden Gopher 39-37 and had fewer turnovers. But BCU struggled from the field and from three-point range, shooting just 33% and 22%, respectively.
BCU was able to narrow the lead to 10 points with 5:03 left in the game after being down by as much as 25 in the first half. But Minnesota shot well and forced a few key turnovers to hold on to the victory.
Trinity College is a part of the NCCAA and was defeated in their season opener against Florida Gateway College 104-93.
The matchup on Friday will be the fifth all-time between these two teams. Bethune-Cookman has won all five of the previous matchups, most recently in 2016.
