Box Score DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A slow start was too much to overcome as the Wildcats fell, 58-40 to Southern, Saturday afternoon at Moore Gymnasium.
How It Happened
The Wildcats (10-16, 9-7 SWAC) started slow, concluding the first quarter down 22-7. The Wildcats made only five of 28 shots in the first half, while Southern (13-13, 10-5 SWAC) made over 55 percent of their shots on the way to a 29-15 halftime lead.
The Wildcats opened the second half strong, cutting the deficit down to 10 in the third quarter, but B-CU could get no closer. The Jaguars took the victory, 58-40.
Chanel Wilson led B-CU with 16 points.
D'Shantae Edwards was the only other Wildcat in double figures. She had ten.
Edwards led the Wildcats with seven rebounds. She also added three steals.
Kayla Clark grabbed six boards.
